In the fall of 1980 ABC dropped Plastic Man and added Thundarr. They also left room for local programming, probably due to the FCC requirements for showing 'educational' programming, a battle that the networks had for a number of years regarding most of their Saturday morning programming.
Strangely enough, this cartoon is not available on DVD. A quick search of EBAY and I can't even find a bootleg copy.
