Monster Cereal 80's Commercials

Monster Cereal Commercial from 1978 (With STAR WARS Stickers!)

Animated Cereal Commercials of the 1980's

As the 80's wore on I slowly removed myself from Saturday morning cartoons in pursuit of other more worthy ventures (a job in the military, family, etc.) and as cable and satellite slowly took their foothold the Saturday morning cartoon was barely recognizable by the end of the decade. There were still many memorable animated spokesmen for the morning wheat/oat based breakfast product but even this chapter in American advertising history was drawing to a close. A highlight of the 1980's cereal scene had to be the many short-lived cereals based on popular fads of the time.

The previous installments of this series can be found here: 1950's 1960's 1970's
