The image above was hand picked by me to illustrate the differences between then and now - namely that if you had something like this in your yard today you would eventually get sued by every ambulance chasing lawyer in town!

70's Homes Decorated

Retrospace has posted a bunch of catalog scans depicting the 70s at their most excessive - in our homes. It was hard to pick a picture with which to highlight the site because they were all as equally disturbing!

The Superheroes at Sea World

Plaid Stallions has a nice posting with a few pictures of the old 'superheroes on waterskis' show at Sea World (from the early to mid 1970's). I remember seeing this one at least once with my family and loving it. I am fairly certain that I would deem it 'fairly cheesy' if I saw it today but back then superheroes were all of the rage to us with Batman reruns and the Superfriends being big hits in our home. I even remember getting 'autographs' on that promotional picture below (the one in which they are skiing in a pyradmid formation).
