Thanksgiving Music

Well I posted a question previously and the Universal Horror Sounds blog came through for me by sending along the link in this posting.

The Mad Music Archive is an archive of 'novelty' songs and radio shows indexed in many different ways. There are also samples and some direct download links if you look hard enough. A search for 'Thanksgiving' turned up 18 song matches and a search for 'Turkey' turned up another 18 matches.

Now if anyone finds a 'free' compilation somewhere on the net please send the link along and I will share it with the other readers.

How to Cook a Turkey

This seems to be a popular topic around this time of year so go here to find the best hints.

Once again I will say this: Use a roasting bag. It really is impossible to screw it up after this point. You may end up with some skin that is a bit soggy and it is hard to take the turkey out of the bag to brown the skin (as the directions usually indicate) because the turkey will be literally falling apart. But this is good because the reason that it is falling apart is that it is going to be the most tender turkey that you have ever had!

No, just kidding. I don't think that I could find enough to sustain the blog for the rest of the month if I had to do that but I will try to find some cool Thanksgiving stuff between now and then.

I have found some cool stock photos here (an example of which is seen to the right of this text).

I would like to find some Thanksgiving music though. I have lots and lots of other vintage holiday music but none for Thanksgiving so if any of you could help I would really appreciate it. I would prefer novelty music of course but for now I am desperate and will take anything that actually has a Thanksgiving theme.

Oh, if you are looking for a turkey recipe and found this page by mistake I can make one recommendation - use a bag. No matter what you do it will come out extremely tender. What else matters other than that?
