Back To School Fashions

This kid would probably get beaten up a lot if he tried to actually wear this to school... even in the 70's!

70's Homes Decorated

Retrospace has posted a bunch of catalog scans depicting the 70s at their most excessive - in our homes. It was hard to pick a picture with which to highlight the site because they were all as equally disturbing!

Eye-Catching Buttocks Instantly

This one is kind of scary! I am glad that this thing never caught on. And it's kind of timely in that I was joking with my wife just yesterday about them not having a 'masculine hygiene' section at the grocery store.

Future Fashion 2000 (as predicted in the 1930's)

Here is an interesting, but too short, look at the fashions of 2000 as predicted in the early 1930's. At least one of the dresses looks normal (for 1930's standards) but most of the rest of the fashions are just downright ridiculous.

Archie Comics and Fashion

Glyph Jockey has posted a bunch of cover scans to some Archie books and also a Flickr group link.

The Flickr group seems to say it best so I will leave it to them:
'Realism' is likely not a term that could (or should) ever be used in reference to Archie comics, but this collection of images circa 1965 - 1970 do pretty well in illustrating some of what was 'happening' in the youth culture and pop culture of that time.
