Jean Shepherd on Archive.org
I don't know how long he has been there but archives of Jean's WOR shows are now available on archive.org. Who is Jean Shepherd you may ask? Have you ever seen A CHRISTMAS STORY? He is the original author/scriptwriter/narrator of the movie that is based on vivid retellings from his childhood memories. Highly recommended.

This is good to know. I read the book, it's fairly different than the movie, especially the bully part.
ReplyDeleteMany of the Christmas shows have nothing to do with the movie but I always enjoy listening to Jean anyway! I have read most of his books and bits and parts of the movie are scattered throughout.
ReplyDeleteThere were a couple more movies based on his stories but I have yet to see them:
Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss
It Runs in the Family
