Blatant marketing to kids in the 1950's? Oh the horror! Anyone who was a tot from the late 1960's to the 1980's can relate to this idea being used against the Saturday morning cartoons of those times.
Hey! I and all of my friends grew up in that era and read those strips every Sunday - did not do any damage to our psychi and we made it without developing any aggressive tendancies. Have you seen the cartoons the kids not look at. Hope they can make it through that negative era.
Peter Pain was very aggressive. If I were to strike a child with a whip, wrapping it around him, causing severe pain in his chest as he did, I'd very likely windup in jail.
