Dark Roasted Blend has posted a nice set of abandoned amusement park photos from Asia. Why abandoned amusement parks you ask? I don't know but I love looking at these pictures.
There is just something particularly beautiful/unsettling (depending on your take) about abandoned amusement parks and fairgrounds. Amusement parks tend to be considerably more colorful than the rest of "civilization," and the distinctive and familiar shapes of ride cars and ferris wheels (of which, holy cow, there are some amazing photos on Dark Roasted Blend's post) emerging from a reclaimed landscape have a really surreal vibe, pretty different from other modern ruins. At least, that's my take on why abandoned amusement parks are so intriguing.
