The biggest thing this year was THE ALL-NEW SUPERFRIENDS HOUR as they started their long run that went all the way, in some form or another, until 1985. I can still remember being really really excited when we heard that the Superfriends were going to be on for an hour! They damn near spoiled it with Gleek though!
Another favorite of mine as a child aired this year - Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics (with Captain Cave-Man and the Teen Angels). This one was TWO HOURS LONG!
