I haven't actually downloaded this surf album but the cover image took me back a few years to the slot-car racing craze of the 1970's. There were actually lots of 'hobby' stores at the malls that had big tracks set up in the store and then charged a small fee to use.

ReplyDeleteI had a 2 lane slot car track when i was about 12. Just like that photo shows it was hard keeping those suckers from flying off the tracks on the curves. Sadly, like all my childhood toys, the track went to some cousin or another after I had gotten "too old" for it.
ReplyDeleteI look for these things on ebay. I'd have a small fortune in my hands had my parents not insisted I give the stuff away.
