Oddly enough, back in the days when we hardly ever got to watch cartoons - from the early 80's and earlier - just about ANY hot subject could have their own cartoon. And now that we have sixteen different cartoon channels NOBODY gets their own cartoon!
One big trend in the late 1970's was giving bands their own cartoon. The Jackson 5ive cartoon was one such toon.
From what I remember it was nothing special but it was done by nostalgia fan favorite RANKIN-BASS (Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus, etc.).
