Factory Countdown (Sesame Street Animation)

Mexican Caricature Lobby Cards

These are all for Mexican movies but the artwork is fantastic!

The First Youtube Video!

I, for one, am glad that it blossomed into what it is today (and not what it was as evidenced by this video)!

The Rise of the Middle Income Consumer - Opportunities Unlimited (1956)

Soviet Science Fiction Animation of the 1980's

Apparently the Soviets ripped off (?) a bunch of popular science fiction short stories and made some animated cartoons based on the stories of many popular authors. Rhizome has posted a few exampled on their blog. The video above is taken from Ray Bradbury's short story Here There Be Tigers.

Six Snakes (Sesame Street Animation)

Free Indie/Alternative MP3 Sampler From Amazon.com

I have no great place to post these free Amazon MP3 samplers after folding the mp3bargains blog so I am going to try posting them here for a while even though they may seem slightly out of place. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

This one is a really good indie/alternative rock sampler and is highly recommended for fans of the genre.

The Sesame Street Monsters! (1975)

This one goes out to all of the 'monster' fans... it's not quite Dracula or Frankenstein but the music is all Sesame Street with a bit of their "monsters' thrown in. Another good one!

The Muppet Alphabet Album (1976)

Lots of Muppets in this one (hence the title I guess) and highly enjoyable.

Sesame Street Fever

I don't remember if I have ever posted this one but if not here is a nice oddity from the late 1970's/early 1980's as Sesame Street does disco! Robin Gibb even guests on a couple of tracks to make it more 'authentic.'

Music From The Price is Right

I remember them playing the longer versions of this tune in the late 70's when I would stay home from school to watch game shows all day (p.s. don't tell my mom!).

Sesame Street - The Square Song

Includes the theme song and lots of others.

10 Songs From Mary Poppins (By People Who Were Not In the Movie)

Here is a Walt Disney produced album based on a Disney produced film that has none of the original cast members. I guess it sucked to be a kid in the 60's/70s!

Small/Smaller/Smallest (Sesame Street Animation)

Alice In Wonderland (On the iPad)

I really want an iPad and this video/commercial for Alice In Wonderland makes me want it even more but I will wait, at least, until the first couple of price reductions and the inevitable release of 'clones' by Apple's competitors. The clones will either drive the price down to a more comfortable level or provide some more viable alternatives (in that they won't be locked down by Apple's somewhat draconian system).

Timothy Slept On (Tip Top Tales)

Golden Gems has posted a nice scan of this 1964 Tip Top Tales book. I love the very dated 1960's artwork.

Vintage Sesame Street (xvid)

Cosmobells has been posting a few vintage Sesame Street episodes (in xvid format) at his blog. These bring back some pretty good memories for me as the show was a staple of my childhood (no doubt partially from the fact that it was one of the only kid's shows on at that time period!).

Sesame Street Animation

Another post that is not technically SATURDAY morning but they did air Sesame Street reruns from the previous week on our local PBS station when I was a child so these animations are at least somewhat relevant.

Why oh why can't they release these on dvd in the USA? Until then we will have to make do with fan ripped divx copies like these first thirteen episodes.

Music for Maniacs has compiled (at the present time) three different compilations of Enoch Light's disco output, sort of a 'greatest hits' if you will. I have posted some Enoch Light before (link) but this includes most of that and much more.
