Duffy's Tavern (old-time radio show) With Special Guest Boris Karloff

Duffy's Tavern was a popular comedy that ran on the radio from 1941-1951. This show from 1943 was a special show devoted to selling war bonds, a popular practice of OTR shows from this era, and guest starred Boris Karloff.

Boris Karloff and Saturday Morning

This is probably the hardest Saturday Morning Cartoon entry that I have compiled. Being that this week was entirely devoted to Boris Karloff I wanted to keep it on theme for every single post during the blog-a-thon. There are a couple of obvious entries here though if we keep from limiting ourselves to strictly Saturday morning fare (this is not anything abnormal for this blog). I will also include Karloff imitators - one of the most sincere forms of homage, especially in a Saturday Morning cartoon! - in this review.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) - Trailer

Mad Monster Party (1967) - Trailer

The Daydreamer (1966) - Boris Karloff as 'The Rat' - starts at about 1:20
(the complete video (in ten parts) is available on youtube)

The Juggler of Our Lady (1958) - Complete

Water, Water Every Hare (1962) - Karloff voice imitator

Invasion Siniestra! (The Incredible Invasion)

Boris' last few movies were released a couple of years AFTER his death and were filmed in Mexico, this is the original Spanish version captured from Mexican television - In SPANISH only with no subtitles but it's not that hard to follow the ultra low budget plot. If anyone has any fansubs (subtitles) for this please post a link!

This one is also known as THE ALIEN TERROR and THE INCREDIBLE INVASION.

(Rapidshare links - multi-part RAR files - you must download all links and then UNRAR to view the video)

La Maison Hantee as Told By Boris (not Karloff) (1970)

This one is only related to Boris Karloff by the band's name. It's a stretch, I know, but I wanted to broaden the scope of the blogathon. It's in French and it's basically a collection of sound effects with narration (?). It's not nearly as good as the cover art (which is pretty frickin' awesome!).
