Horrorhosts.com has one of the most comprehensive listings of known tv horror hosts from the past 50 years.
They used to have a better interface but for now you have to try to decipher the somewhat cryptic photos to find your favorites (or you can search by location).
A couple of them that I grew up watching in Cleveland, OH were:
Big Chuck and Little John (actually they started as Hoolihan and Big Chuck)
Superhost
The Ghoul
Even to this day, close to thirty years later, I have trouble watching the old horror flicks because I am always waiting for Superhost to pop in and do some cheesy comedy routine.
